Asaba, Delta State – The All Deltan Forum, a socio-cultural and community development organization, on Thursday, 28 of August, 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian and Community Support Services, Honourable Orode Uduaghan to discuss strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening grassroots sensitization and mobilization on community based project across the state.
The delegation, led by the Forum’s leadership, Meshach Princewill, Founder/Coordinator highlighted the central role of communities in driving sustainable development and underscored the importance of sensitization and citizen participation. The Forum commended the Ministry’s impact in addressing the humanitarian needs across the state and expressed its commitment to using its wide-reaching platform www.alldeltan.com to educate and mobilize communities on their roles in advancing local development while complementing government initiatives.
Speaking during the visit, the Forum representatives explained that All Deltan Forum serves as a unifying platform for Deltans across different ethnic groups, fostering dialogue, promoting cultural heritage, and supporting government projects that directly impact the people. They noted that through town hall meetings, media campaigns, and youth engagement programs, the Forum can effectively reach communities with messages of responsibility, collaboration, and self-driven development.
In her response, the Honourable Commissioner commended the Forum for its vision and proactive approach, emphasizing that true development can only be achieved when communities take responsibility of projects and actively support government interventions. She described the All Deltan Forum as a timely initiative, and assured the group of the Ministry looking into the Forum agendas seeing how they can work support them in sensitization and community mobilization.
The visit concluded with the Honourable Commissioner emphasizing that the Ministry will look into a framework that will enable a working relationship with the Forum.
The Coordinator of the Forum, Meshach Princewill reiterated that they are committed to promoting unity, cultural pride, showcasing outstanding government projects, and strengthening community values across Delta State. The Forum presented a well documented blueprint of its proposed Community Development Campaign (CDC) to the Honourable Commissioner. The proposed project is designed to help sensitize and mobilize communities towards participating in community development projects that will help improving the lives of the people through proper management of government projects which include maintenance and protection of infrastructures. Also, partnering with other stakeholders to initiate self-driven sustainable projects in the communities.
